When your child or young person is first identified or diagnosed with SEND, it can be confusing and daunting. Please see below for a range of helpful organisations, resources and documents, that can be your first port of call for help and information.
Whilst there are other groups/charities out there, the PCF would like to remind families of the Family Support Offer that is delivered by Daisy Chain. Autism Parents Together (Tees Valley)
A local charity that aims to support families throughout diagnosis and beyond. They run events, training and have a very supportive community on social media.
Carers Together
Carers Together Foundation is an organisation dedicated to improving carers’ quality of life: they put carers first. They listen to carers, give them a voice, provide information, practical and emotional support and promote carers’ rights. They are a registered charity and limited company, established by and for carers in 2003.

IPSEA
A charity that offers free and independent legally based information, advice and support to help get the right education for children and young people with SEND
Local Offer Redcar and Cleveland
A resource of local information, decisions, events and resources to support the SEND community. It can also act as a window to finding up to date contact information for local statutory agencies and services, this includes children’s services, health, education and other welfare links.

Information, advice and support for parents and carers of children with learning difficulties.
SENDIASS
A local service providing impartial, confidential information, advice and support to parents/carers of children and young people (0-25) with disabilities and special educational needs. Here are the names, contact details and working days for the staff in this service:
